BLH Nobel Office

Accredited force calibration laboratory

A force transducer is only as trustworthy as its last calibration. Drift goes unnoticed until a batch is rejected, an audit fails, or a process slips out of specification. and by then the cost is already paid. From our Sweden-based facilities, BLH Nobel operates an accredited force laboratory  that removes that uncertainty, calibrating transducers and load cells with full traceability to national standards so your measurements stay defensible.

Accredited to SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025 since 1984, the laboratory calibrates in both compression and tension across the full range from 2 N to 2 MN, to BLH Nobel validated methods or to SS-EN ISO 376. We calibrate our own production masters every year, which means every load cell we build ships with traceability already in place, and the same expertise is available to recalibrate the equipment you already run, keeping it accurate for years rather than just on day one.

Accredited since 1984

Scope of accreditation

Our accredited force laboratory in Sweden (AMP 1156) calibrates force transducers in compression and tension, to BLH Nobel validated methods or to SS-EN ISO 376, with best measurement capability that tightens as the range narrows.

1984
Accredited since

Continuous compliance with SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025.

2 N – 2 MN
Accredited range

Small transducers through heavy-capacity load cells.

0.02 %
Best capability

Best measurement capability, in the 2 N to 2 kN range.

Force range Best measurement capability Calibration reference
2 N – 2 kN 0.02 % BLH Nobel validated method / SS-EN ISO 376
2 kN – 1 MN 0.05 % BLH Nobel validated method / SS-EN ISO 376
1 MN – 2 MN 0.10 % BLH Nobel validated method / SS-EN ISO 376

Best measurement capability is the smallest uncertainty the laboratory can achieve within its accredited scope.

Traceable to national standards

An unbroken chain of measurement

Traceability links your calibration, through documented comparisons, back to a recognized national standard. We calibrate our own production masters once a year, giving full traceability on every load cell we produce. Total uncertainty is the RMS combination of every link in the chain.

1

National standards

The physical reference standards held at the national metrology institute.

2

Primary standards

Deadweight machines in controlled conditions and precision voltage standards.

3

Secondary standards

Our annually calibrated production masters and master bridges.

4

Working standards

Field transfer standards: calibrated load cells, DVMs and portable calibrators.

What we calibrate

Two routes, one standard of rigour

Chosen to match the transducer, the range, and the documentation you need to prove.

To SS-EN ISO 376

Calibration of force-proving instruments to the international standard, applying known force over the defined sequence of steps with full traceability — the route to take when you need an internationally recognized classification.

To BLH Nobel validated methods

Methods we have developed and validated over decades of building load cells such as the KIS, tuned to how our products behave in compression and tension across the full accredited range.

Why our laboratory

Calibration you can defend in any audit

Accredited, not just calibrated

Formal recognition of technical competence under SS-EN ISO/IEC 17025, held continuously since 1984.

Full traceability

Every result traceable through documented links back to national and international standards.

Validated methods

Calibration to SS-EN ISO 376 or to BLH Nobel methods proven over decades of load-cell design.

Long-tenured experts

Calibration performed by specialists with deep technical competence, not rotating staff.
