AST 5P: Next-Generation Signal Transmitter Now Available
AST 5P Signal Transmitter
The AST 5P replaces the AST 3P signal transmitter. This update addresses long-term component availability while maintaining form-fit-function compatibility with existing installations.
Technical specifications:
- Power supply: 24V DC
- Excitation voltage: 8-10V (compatible with intrinsic safety barriers)
- Input range: ±3.3 mV/V
- Load cell support: Up to 8×350Ω in parallel
- Communication: Analog output (voltage/current) and Modbus RTU via RS485
- I/O: 2 relay outputs, 2 digital inputs
- 2x16 character digital display with backlight
- Operating temperature: -10°C to +50°C
Migration from AST 3P: The AST 5P uses the same mounting footprint and menu structure as the AST 3P. The primary physical difference is connector pitch (5.0mm vs 5.08mm), with connectors included for straightforward installation.
The AST 5P is declared as Class B Group 1 equipment for industrial electromagnetic environments and carries FCC approval for US markets.
Configuration software: Compatible with updated DeltaCom application. Technical manuals available in Swedish and English.
