Successor products & upgrade
paths for discontinued weighing electronics
For decades, BLH Nobel weighing systems have been engineered to be best-in-class for their time, earning a reputation for reliability and years of trouble-free service. We stay committed to supporting that equipment for as long as we can, but eventually the availability of key components becomes a limiting factor outside our control.
This page is your guide to the recommended successor products for the electronics you have relied on. In almost every case, moving to a current model brings welcome gains in performance and features, and our team is ready to help you transition smoothly.
You'll find the recommended successor for every discontinued model below, from the early 8200B series to the now-retired G4. Most are replaced by our current G5, G6, WST-5 and AST-5P instruments, which bring faster measurement, modern fieldbus protocols and capabilities that simply weren't possible when the original was built.
And because we design and manufacture our own load cells, the sensors in your system never have to go obsolete: we can rebuild any cell to match, so upgrading an instrument rarely means re-engineering the whole installation. Where a straight swap isn't enough, we'll tailor a solution to your exact setup.

Load cells that never go obsolete
Still supported, and ready to upgrade
BLH Nobel weighing systems have long been best-in-class for their time, with a reputation for reliability and years of trouble-free service. We remain committed to supporting and maintaining that equipment for as long as we can, until the availability of key components eventually becomes a limiting factor outside our control. When that point comes, moving to a current model almost always brings welcome performance gains and the features you have always wanted.
Always moving forward, load cells that never go obsolete
As a long-established manufacturer of both load cells and weighing / force-measurement instrumentation, BLH Nobel invests heavily in new, state-of-the-art products. Because we build our own load cells and hold all of the components, we can always deliver custom-designed load cells, without them ever going obsolete. Our instrumentation evolves continuously, not least in communication protocols, and we are always glad to assess your specific challenge and provide a smart, future-proof solution.
